Recycling Fact about our Off the Street Picture Frames

Did you know...We have recycled over 10,000 CTA transit cards for our recycled Off the Street picture frames? Pretty amazing, isn't it?

According to Earth911.com recycling is:

Recycling is the process of taking a product at the end of its useful life and using all or part of it to make another product. The internationally recognized symbol for recycling includes three arrows moving in a triangle. Each arrow represents a different part of the recycling process, from collection to re-manufacture to resale.

But what does all this have to do with you? Well, recycling is a simple way that you, as a consumer, can help out the environment, create a profitable market for recycled goods and help preserve natural resources from being depleted. So...let's get involved!

Socially Conscious Mother's Day Gift

The other day on my way out, a neighbor commented on my red Deppa Bag and said how much she liked it. I proceeded to share a little about it. Since it drew attention once already this week, I thought I would feature it today on the blog.

With Mother's Day just around the corner, our Deppa bags would make wonderful socially conscious gifts for moms. These bags are well made, sturdy and can hold a load of books, even over the handle of a stroller!

This eco-friendly hand bag is red and natural. It is hand printed using natural dyes and lined in solid red, with just the right touch of hand embroidery. It has a snap on either outer side enabling the bag to expand. One inside pocket with a zipper. 18" h x 14" w. $5.00 from the sale of this bag goes to support the fair trade women's co-operative in India, where the good was handmade.

Moms will not only appreciate that her gift is eco-friendly, but that her gift gives back to charity as well.
